The BMW PHEV warranty offers three year unlimited mileage cover from date of first registration. The warranty for your BMW PHEV vehicle includes BMW Roadside Assistance and protection for the BMW high voltage battery.
The duration & mileage of the PHEV battery warranty varies by model.
Generation 3 or 4 PHEV batteries - 6 years or 100.000 km from first registration date, whichever occurs first.
Generation 5 PHEV batteries - 8 years or 160,000 km from first registration date, whichever occurs first.

The 12-month BMW Approved Used Car Warranty is designed to protect your investment and reduce the cost of your BMW ownership. The warranty provides a minimum of 12-month coverage for your battery and exhaust system along with other components in the case of manufacturing defects. BMW Roadside Assistance cover and MOT Protect cover are included, protecting you against some unexpected costs that might arise from MOT failure.

Answer: Yes, your BMW Warranty does work outside Ireland. During the first 24 months of the warranty, if your BMW needs to be repaired outside of Ireland, it can be taken to any Authorised BMW Centre or BMW Service Authorised Workshop. If you are abroad and a warranty repair is required, this should be carried out by an Authorised BMW Centre or BMW Service Authorised Workshop and on your return to Ireland, contact your local BMW Centre who will process a warranty claim. Please note, the AUC warranty is only valid in Ireland.

The warranty for your BMW i vehicle includes BMW Mobile Care and also protection for the BMW i high voltage battery for up to eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. During your ownership over these years, any repairs carried out will be done promptly, professionally and efficiently by our highly trained BMW technicians at BMW i Service Authorised Workshops.
Once the original BMW i Warranty expires you can simply purchase a BMW warranty extension with BMW Insured Warranty.
Like our other warranties, the BMW PHEV Warranty protects you for those unforeseen events that crop up from time to time. The warranty includes BMW Emergency Service and also covers the BMW PHEV high voltage battery for up to 6 years from the date of registration, or up to 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
As with the BMW i Warranty, as your BMW PHEV Warranty comes to an end, if your car has been serviced in accordance with BMW recommendations, you will be able to purchase an Insured Warranty.
