BMW AND APPLE CARPLAY^®.

With Apple CarPlay® you can use the functions of your iPhone in your BMW – and all entirely without any cables Smartphone apps such as iMessage, Apple Maps, WhatsApp, telephony, Apple Music or Spotify* are displayed in the BMW iDrive System and can be conveniently operated in the vehicle via touch or voice command.

*A paid Spotify premium subscription is required.

The following requirements have to be fulfilled to use Apple CarPlay®:

• An iPhone 5 at least with an iOS version 9.3 or later with an active data plan.
  
• Vehicles with the equipment options of Connected Package Plus (6C2) or Connected Package Professional 6C4.
  
• Vehicles with a production date of July 2016 or later with the equipment option Apple CarPlay® Preparation or Smartphone Integration 6CP support Apple CarPlay®.
  
• Siri, WiFi and Bluetooth® wireless technology must be activated on the iPhone.
  
  

The Apple CarPlay® service is available and active without runtime limitations. Usage cannot be guaranteed permanently due to potential future technical developments (e.g. of the Service availability and/or Smartphone compatibility/operating systems).

Note: The requirements and availability may vary from country to country.

Your vehicle recognises the Apple Siri voice control for Apple CarPlay® by the activation word "Hey Siri“ without you having to press the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel. Please note that you must confirm this function when initialising Apple CarPlay® in your BMW or in the system settings .
