M PERFORMANCE TWIN POWER TURBO 12-CYLINDER PETROL ENGINE.

This engine sets standards within its vehicle segment. The M Performance TwinPower Turbo twelve-cylinder petrol engine combines impressive power with a level of thrust maintained up into the maximum rev ranges. From engine speeds of just 1,500 rpm it is able to deliver the maximum torque of 800 Nm. The 6.6-litre engine generates its maximum output of 448 kW (610 hp) between 5,250 and 6,000 rpm. The BMW 7 Series twelve-cylinder sedans accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

Interacting with the 2-axle air suspension and Dynamic Damper Control, this active chassis regulation is responsible for an exceptional level of ride comfort. Dynamic Drive roll reduction has undergone further refinement. Suspension, damping and vibration comfort in this M Performance limousine are perfectly balanced between sporty and smooth. Body side tilts from rapid changes in direction are compensated for immediately. On straight stretches, the adjustable stabilizers allow the suspension system the greatest possible freedom of movement, which further raises ride comfort. The system has been specially tuned to the more dynamic character of the BMW M760Li xDrive.

MORE SPORT: 8-SPEED STEPTRONIC SPORT TRANSMISSION.

Transferring the power of the V12 engine is an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The specific M Performance tuning of the shift programmes is specially adapted to the characteristics of the power unit with more than 610 hp. Shift paddles on the steering wheel allow gear changing in sporty style. The transmission also features a Launch Control, ensuring optimum acceleration under all conditions for ambitious drivers. The compact build, low weight and the perfect interplay with the Auto Start Stop Function are also instrumental in significantly lowering fuel consumption and reducing exhaust emissions.

The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.
